LandGlass is proud to strengthen its collaboration with Transparent Design, the largest flat glass processor in Romania, as they continue to set new benchmarks in high-quality glass production.
A Commitment to Excellence Since 2005
Established in 2005, Transparent Design has been driven by a vision to deliver top-tier glass products and services. Consistently investing in advanced, high-performance equipment from renowned suppliers, the company ensures not only expanded production capacity but also exceptional product quality. Operating out of a 15,000 sqm production facility with a daily capacity of 1,800 sqm of processed glass per shift, Transparent Design seamlessly meets large-volume requirements while upholding strict quality and delivery timelines.
Transparent Design offers tailored glass solutions for both interior and exterior applications, including tempered and laminated glass, enameled glass, and ceramic-printed glass. All products adhere to CE certification and ISO 9001 standards, underlining their commitment to safety and quality.
Investing in Tempering Excellence
Tempered glass plays a pivotal role in Transparent Design’s operations. Recognizing its importance, the company has continued to invest in state-of-the-art tempering equipment. As part of this ongoing commitment to quality and efficiency, Transparent Design is set to receive its fourth LandGlass tempering furnace, scheduled for delivery in early 2025.
Marian Nechifor, owner of Transparent Design, highlights their strategic choice: “In the past, we used tempering equipment from other suppliers, but after connecting with LandGlass and gaining a detailed understanding of their equipment and services, we decided to work with this supplier. We do not regret this decision, especially since the majority of the glass processed at the Transparent Design factory is tempered glass.”
Meeting Growing Demands with LandGlass
Between 2021 and 2024, Transparent Design installed three LandGlass UltraJet tempering furnaces to meet rising production needs:
UltraJet A3260U (2021): Capable of tempering glass up to 6000 x 3300 mm with thicknesses of 5 to 19 mm.
UltraJet Plus Bottom SuperAir (May 2022): Designed for glass sizes up to 5000 x 2400 mm, with thicknesses ranging from 3.2 to 19 mm and a minimum size of 150 x 300 mm.
UltraJet LD-A3050U (February 2024): Boosted tempered glass output from 1,100 sqm to 1,600 sqm per 8-hour shift, handling glass sizes up to 5000 x 3000 mm with thicknesses of 5 to 19 mm.
Adrian Badici, Executive Director at Transparent Design, praised the performance of LandGlass equipment: “The glass tempering equipment from LandGlass convinced us due to their technical features. The ceramic rollers resist high temperatures, maintain their shape, and leave no marks on the glass. High-power blowers for post-tempering cooling and advanced furnace control software significantly enhance the tempering process. Additionally, LandGlass’s online support ensures immediate solutions whenever required.”
A New Chapter in Curved Glass Production and up to 9m glass sheets
The upcoming fourth tempering furnace from LandGlass will enhance Transparent Design’s offerings. Designed to process large-format tempered glass up to 9000 x 3210 mm, it also incorporates advanced convex and concave bending technology. This innovation allows Transparent Design to meet the sophisticated aesthetic and structural demands of modern architecture, making it a perfect choice for high-end projects.
In addition to the new furnace, Transparent Design is adding two automated bending modules to its existing tempering furnaces. These modules will enable the production of tempered curved glass with diverse bending radii, both concave and convex, using cutting-edge, computer-controlled equipment. The resulting large-format curved glass with complex bends will serve a variety of applications, such as: interior partitions, structural facades, balustrades, refrigeration displays, automotive.
Commitment to Quality and Standards
Transparent Design’s use of LandGlass tempering technology aligns with European standards EN 12150 and EN 1863, ensuring unparalleled safety and quality. LandGlass is proud to support Transparent Design’s ongoing growth and looks forward to the continued success of this fruitful partnership.
