On April 25, China's thinnest glass production line--CSG 200T/D photoelectric glass production line was launched at Yichang High-tech Industry Development Zone, filling an industrial gap in Central China.

Zhang Fan, vice president of CSG Group and president of the Flat Glass Division, said the photoelectric glass would be as thin as 0.3mm. According to data, Hebei Panel Glass Co., Ltd. turned out 0.33mm glass last year, the thinnest handmade glass in the country then. After ten years' efforts, CSG has mastered the high-end production technology.

Widely used in fields such as mobile communication terminal, panel display, touch screen and solar power generation, the product is an indispensable human-machine interface in the current display industry. It will form an upstream and downstream industry chain with Yichang CSG display glass and produce synergy effects to promote the healthy development of the market. According to sources, CSG has owned four core industrial sectors: flat glass, architectural glass, solar glass and display glass, and has become the most competitive enterprise at home and abroad with an annual output value of 10 billion yuan.

Sources said the project commenced last February with a total investment of 320 million yuan. At its full capacity, the project will turn out 35,000 tons of photoelectric glass annually, achieve an annual output value of 300 million yuan, contribute annual profit turnovers and tax payments of over 50 million yuan, and create 200 jobs.
